Double 33 is here, it’s my birthday!

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

The double three is finally here!

There are no special arrange party, no surprise cake and no surprise bouquet flower.  Hubby would prefer me to choose the celebrating venue, choose the cake and he knows that I don’t like him spending on flowers.  Hmmm…

But then, everyone of you know that I am in my fitness “craze” so I might not having a birthday cake.  I am trying to cut all the “unhealthy” sugary stuff. *hope I can hold on to that thought..*

Anyway, I am craving for fajitas, so will have some Mexican food for the special occasion.

Looking back during my toddler years, mom will always held a birthday party for me.  There will be massive huge birthday cake, a lot of home cook food and drinks.  All the kids will take their stand next to me to snap some photos.  The neighbours will gather and sing me birthday song.

Now, I don’t fancy birthday party and feel shy when a bunch of people sing me birthday song.  Maybe…maybee when I am old, like 50 or 60 or 70 or 80 or 90 or 100 or 200 years old, I don’t mind having a BIG bash party though…

Happy Birthday to me!

Thanking God for all the good and bad years.  Through the years I have learn to persevere so that I will be mature.  Thank God for William and Naomi to be in my life.  Thank God for my parents and friends that HE sent to me.

Psst…next year birthday I wish to celebrate it in Scotland. ;)

I Won 3rd Prize for The Walk Hunt at SUNRISE Culture Explorer 2009 Carnival

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

We left our home early to meet up MayLee and husband at their home, that was at 9.45am.

We then head to the carnival early so that we can sign up for the Walk Hunt. All of us have our breakfast at the carnival. There are plenty of food and drinks on sale.

From 10am until about 4.30pm we were at the carnival! But lunch time we went to Wendy’s for burgers instead of eating at the carnival.

As for the Walk Hunt, MayLee won the Consolation prize and I won’t the 3rd prize! Yooohoo!

Overall, all of us enjoyed it very much.  Especially Naomi, she explore everywhere, excited about it and walking into the mud to get to where ever she wants.

The Last Time We Met Was 21 Years Ago

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

The last time I meet Mee Hsia and Siew Fong was in year 1988, we all from the same Sacred Heart Canossian Primary School in Melaka.  At that time both Mee Hsia and Siew Fong still living in Melaka and I moved to Johor Bahru with my family.  So I continued my secondary school in JB and them in Melaka.

After that I totally lost contact with both of them.  Recent years I get to know Siew Fong got married and managed to get her phone number from my mom but I did not have the opportunity to meet her.

Then last month, Mee Hsia found me on Facebook!  When I saw a message in Facebook, my heart beat increased and I was jumping with joy.

I really thank God for all the technologies that enable us to find each other through cyber space.

When I decided to return home to Melaka on the 1st October to visit my parents, I quickly take the opportunity to arrange a small gathering.

We all meet at Starbucks Dataran Pahlawan Melaka on 3rd october for the first time.  Amazingly, we could recognize each other!  Our face still look the same like in primary school, the only different is a bit of wrinkle, we have grown taller and with a hair style. Heehee.

Siew Fong are married and with a son age 2 years plus and Mee Hsia is getting married in March 2010.  I am so grateful that we have the opportunity to meet again after the 21 years of silent.  Praise God for this friendship and memories!

What to wear on our wedding day?

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

When William and I were planning for our wedding celebration, we want some simple but formal.  We search around for a suitable outfit that will match the wedding theme. William will have to skip wearing the tuxedo because of our garden wedding theme. We both are very choosy and fussy, so looking for the right one is a very tough task.

Then we finally found the right and perfect suit at Domachi boutique at Midvalley. Well, that was 3years ago and the suit is still looking great.
