We are missing home…Melaka!

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

Naomi at Melaka home, she is starring outside and having her quiet moment for a while.

We miss Melaka so much; it has been a long time since we are back spend time with my parents.  Naomi miss Melaka also and she wanted to cycle her bicycle and go out for a walk with her ‘gong gong’ (grandpa).  I miss mom’s cooking and Melaka’s street food too.

But this time around hubby is not following us, Naomi and I will be following my youngest brother’s car back to Melaka. She is looking forward to see her ‘cowfu’ (uncle) and also play his Nintendo Wii.

I am planning to take this opportunity in Melaka to go body massage.  Ah…imagine lying on the massage table and get pampered by the ladies at the massage center. *wink*

How about you, going anywhere during the holiday?

Cleaning the house before renovation…

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

…just to have a “feel” of the place when it is clean.  Not only that, we wanted to check for any damaged tiles and also to make sure all drainage are not blocked.

It was last Saturday 4th Sept 2010, our house cleaning adventures begin.  Naomi was with us all the time because we wanted her to get involved for the new home. :)

The Big and The Little Maid.

After the hard work, it is resting and eating time.

Daddy continue to clean while we are resting and eating.

We started cleaning at about 12.30pm and finished at about 4.30pm.  In between Naomi managed to take about an hour nap.  It was indeed a tiring day but we had fun.

Can’t wait to move in!!

TV For Comfort View

Monday, September 6th, 2010

Our new home electronic stuff will be handling by hubby, which is his “department”.  Currently we are choosing which TV to get.  There are so many types of TV in the market like Samsung HDTV, Panasonic Plasma tv and many more.

Of course all flat TV is not cheap so once we know which to get we will put it into our buying list.  Meaning, anything that are over our budget will be put on hold until we can afford it.

Anyway, moving to a new home what we need is to settle all the necessary ones.  The rest is considering extra “luxury”, so that we can have it later.   We can wait.

What TV that you currently using?

Green, Blue or Pink?

Sunday, September 5th, 2010

It is not easy to find a suitable colour for a Naomi’s room especially we don’t really know what is her favourite colour.

Previous post I was blogging about her wanting green colour, then later she wanted blue and lastly she chose pink for her room but later on she changed her mind again!

I don’t dare to choose for her because worry that she will not like it.  So hubby and some friends suggested letting Naomi choose from a few colours.

So we decided to let her choose 3 types of colour for her new room.  We showed her room with green colour, blue colour and then pink colour.

After asking her a few times for 2 days, she told us the same answer.  PINK.

So PINK it shall be for her room.

This is the photo that we showed her. PINK room.

Not Using Any Interior Designer

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Moving to our own “nest” and having our own space is a dream come true for us.  Having a new home meaning more money will be needed for painting, water proofing all bathrooms, kitchen cabinet, kitchen appliances, wiring and more…

Simple and necessary renovation already cost a lot and work within the budget is tough!

We are not using any interior designer service that is why we spend a lot of time browsing on the net, magazines and showrooms to get ideas.  For example like last week we went to the tiles shop and bathroom accessories shop, we spend about 4 hours just to finalise the tiles design and finally we managed to purchase a kitchen sink and some faucets!

It is tiring but also fun for us as we are looking forward to our new home.

Teka Inoxteel Jumbo Sink for our kitchen.
