Beef Burger

Everyday eating rice or noodle is boring.  So sometime I will prepare something different.  My specialty, homemade beef burger!

Here are the recipes to share with all.

Ingredients:

  • 500g lean minced steak
  • 1 onion-chopped
  • 1 potato-chopped
  • 1 carrot-chopped
  • 1 egg-beaten
  • 1/4 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • a pinch of salt and pepper
  • oil for frying

Methods:

  1. Mix well together all the ingredients and shape into the size that you wanted (this recipe can make 8 patties).
  2. Heat a little oil in a frying pan.
  3. Cook 2 patties at one time over medium heat for about 3 minutes each side (depending the thickness of the patty).

**If you don’t want to cook all the patties, wrap individual patty with baking paper and freeze up to 6 months.

Raisin and Apricot Healthy Snack Bar

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

Ever since I started the fitness program and spoke to my trainer about the results of my total body fat and muscle, I’ve started to eat right, 5 meals a day.  5 small portion meals a day according to the right calories.  Which mean I will have Breakfast, Snack, Lunch, Snack and Dinner.

2 weeks ago, Jodie shared her home made healthy snack bar with me.  Since then I am hooked on it and it taste so delicious.  It is so easy to make and I found a really easy recipe online but then I do a little changes on the recipe.

I uses organic baby oats, organic raisin, organic apricot, organic honey, organic wholemeal flour and organic pumpkin seeds.

It is really easy to make healthy snack bar and eating healthy snack bar is better than popping Chezel!  I do miss eating Chezel though but I have more important goal to achieve which is to lose fat!

Naomi help me in baking Honey Corn Flakes Cookies

Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

The first time that Naomi helps me was baking Chocolate Cake.  She helps me to pour in the eggs, sugar and flour.  Now when she knows that I’m baking again.  She will quickly stand on the chair and wait for her turn.

She enjoys baking the honey corn flakes cookies so much.  She helps to pour in the raisins, do a bit of mixing and then TASTING IT!  Not only her both hands is coated with honey but also her mouth.  Heehee. She is lovely!

After that I will have to take over the mixing bowl, if not she will mess up the whole thing and maybe even pour it on the floor! (she got this bad habit of pouring stuff onto the floor)

We like the wings!

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

Our all time favourite is hot and delicious chicken wings.  Even Naomi likes it.  At IKEA restaurant she can eat at least 3 chicken wings (the main portion-drumnet)!  Since everyone like chicken wings so much, I thought of making some at home.

After browsing through recipes at Rasa Malaysia website I found a chicken wings recipe.  But I only use the main part-drumnet and for the wing part I keep it for next round.

Before feed it to Naomi, I’ll peel off the skin and cut the meat into smaller pieces. :)
