Lantern & Mooncake under the moon
Wednesday, September 26th, 2007
Yesterday, is a very important day for the Chinese, it is the Mid-Autumn Festival.
What is Mid-Autumn Festival? Why people celebrate this festival?
Don’t ask me, I don’t know. But I do know that, this is the day to play lantern or get your lantern burnt.., eat moon cakes (my favourite is the nutty flavour) and most importantly is the food & family gathering!
We had a great family dinner yesterday but William’s brother Alex & family in Japan, sister Mei & family in Canada, they can’t join us. (surely their saliva drooling looking at the dishes)
Let me introduce you my handsome & energetic father-in-law…
We thank God for father’s blessed hands that he able to cook so much delicious food.
This dish is William’s favourite, Prawn with black sauce & curry leaves.
Family recipe Mint Dipper, is for steamed chicken.
William insist that I learn how to prepare the prawn dish. So I took some pictures and managed to write down the ingredients and method of cooking. The recipe shall be in My humble Kitchen soon.
Overall, we had a great time eating and chatting. Thumbs up for finger-lickin-good food!
