I was in UK for 2 years for my own backpacking trip. Within the 2 years of travelling, I have seen almost all part of UK. My best place is still Inverness, Scotland. During my journey in UK, travelling to other European country is easy. One destination that I would like to introduce you is France. Travelling to France from London is not a problem. You can choose to travel by Eurostar which is from Waterloo Station or by ferry from Dover to Calais.
France is the country that gave the world champagne and casseroles but it is undoubtedly a place to eat and drink to your heart’s content, there’s much more to this fascinating country than cutting-edge cuisine. Hotels in France have its own unique features. From bed and breakfast to luxury hotels, you will be fascinated by its wonderful architecture design. Spring offers the best weather to travel, with beach tourism picking up in May. Travellers still can travel during autumn but short days mean limited sunlight and it gets cold early.
When travelling to France, Paris and Nice is my choice of destination. Paris is all about fashion, museum and art, dining and its wineries. Places that you must visit will be The Arc de Triomphe, it is the world’s largest traffic roundabout, Notre Dame Cathedral and Eiffel Tower. Shopping in Paris can be fun and satisfying, shop at places like Kenzo and Guerlain. As for local cuisine, Le Villaret is a buzzing bistro featuring French classics, such as succulent leg of lamb. If you need more information about shopping in Paris please visit www.shopping-de-france.com and www.parisinsiderguides.com for more local guides. Accommodation in Paris can be expensive, try to avoid arranging your accommodation last minute. Most of hotels in Paris can be booked online. I will always make my reservation online because it is much cheaper than walk in rate.
Nice is about 9 hours away from Paris. Nice hotels is always in high demand, looking for hotel to stay upon arrival is a hassle, be wise to book it earlier to avoid disappointment and able to have a good rest before you start to explore this fascinating place. Nice have a lot of beautiful beaches and is a must to try their local finger food at Chez Rene Socca, famous for their giant-sized pancake. Before you move on your journey, do drop by their famous market like Cours Saleya, Ave Malaussena and Rue Raiberti.
