A distance with God

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

Lately, I have been very busy with Angel, household stuff and trying to work from home to earn some extra income so that can help William to ease his burden. Because of all my time occupied for myself, I do not have time for God.. do not have any quiet time with HIM..to talk to HIM and seek HIM. At the end of the day I am so tired to pray and too sleepy to read the bible. I know my God is with me but i felt a distance.

Sunday sermons by Pastor Steven Kum really hit into my heart. It is about seeking God in every situation and remember that HE is my God. Seek and put God first in everything. The reason why I felt a distance is because I focus on other thing instead of HIM.

O’Lord, please forgive me that I put other thing in my life before YOU. I pray that YOU will refresh me and keep my holy spirit fire burning. Lord, YOU are the peace that guard my heart and YOU are the hope that leads me on. I pray that whatever I do, I will glorify YOUR name.

Philippians 4:6 (NIV)>Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

YPLG = Young Professional Life Group

After a long..long..long absent from attending our life group, finally we managed to attend and we bring Angel along. It was a great fellowship, plenty to catch up. So far in our life group we have 2 babies, one more coming… :) and of course more to come.. ;)

William and I decided to bring some snack, so he bought some swiss rolls and I prepared some delicious homemade agar-agar. You can get the recipe from My Humble Kitchen.

Angel, sleeping while we sharing our testimonies and devotion.

Saving Chirpy

Friday, October 26th, 2007

William found Chirpy by the roadside with her mother. Maybe Chirpy’s mum trying to teach her how to fly but she fell. Chirpy’s mum at a hopeless situation, not able to help her lil’ birdie. William was thinking if he don’t take Chirpy’s home, she will be served as a meal for the street cats. So, we have Chirpy at home with us…she is still weak but still chirping all the way for food. :)

One thing that amaze me was, when William open his palm, Chirpy will hop into his palm for shelter and comfort.
Now at home, we have two babies to take care. ;)

Ratatouille

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

A rat named Remy dreams of becoming a great French chef despite his family’s wishes and the problem of being a rat in a famous restaurant. It is a great adventure for a rat!

We like this animation very much. William found out that Angel like it too, she will giggle and get excited. :) So we will be watching Ratatouille again..again..and again..and again..

Journey to France

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

I was in UK for 2 years for my own backpacking trip. Within the 2 years of travelling, I have seen almost all part of UK. My best place is still Inverness, Scotland. During my journey in UK, travelling to other European country is easy. One destination that I would like to introduce you is France. Travelling to France from London is not a problem. You can choose to travel by Eurostar which is from Waterloo Station or by ferry from Dover to Calais.

France is the country that gave the world champagne and casseroles but it is undoubtedly a place to eat and drink to your heart’s content, there’s much more to this fascinating country than cutting-edge cuisine. Hotels in France have its own unique features. From bed and breakfast to luxury hotels, you will be fascinated by its wonderful architecture design. Spring offers the best weather to travel, with beach tourism picking up in May. Travellers still can travel during autumn but short days mean limited sunlight and it gets cold early.

When travelling to France, Paris and Nice is my choice of destination. Paris is all about fashion, museum and art, dining and its wineries. Places that you must visit will be The Arc de Triomphe, it is the world’s largest traffic roundabout, Notre Dame Cathedral and Eiffel Tower. Shopping in Paris can be fun and satisfying, shop at places like Kenzo and Guerlain. As for local cuisine, Le Villaret is a buzzing bistro featuring French classics, such as succulent leg of lamb. If you need more information about shopping in Paris please visit www.shopping-de-france.com and www.parisinsiderguides.com for more local guides. Accommodation in Paris can be expensive, try to avoid arranging your accommodation last minute. Most of hotels in Paris can be booked online. I will always make my reservation online because it is much cheaper than walk in rate.

Nice is about 9 hours away from Paris. Nice hotels is always in high demand, looking for hotel to stay upon arrival is a hassle, be wise to book it earlier to avoid disappointment and able to have a good rest before you start to explore this fascinating place. Nice have a lot of beautiful beaches and is a must to try their local finger food at Chez Rene Socca, famous for their giant-sized pancake. Before you move on your journey, do drop by their famous market like Cours Saleya, Ave Malaussena and Rue Raiberti.
