KooKoo Neighbour

Friday, November 30th, 2007

neighbourI can’t stand thinking about my 2 neighbours. One is on my left and the other on my right. In between 2 “kookoo” neighbour, hopefully one day I won’t turn into a koo-koo bird.

Let me mumble about my left neighbour…

This family consist of husband, wife, 2 sons, 1 girlfriend,1 China moi tenant and 1 NOISY Chiwawa dog (her name is LuLu). This neighbour talk so loud and like to scream to each other. I believe the whole street of people can hear them. Now, that little fella..noisy doggie, her voice so sharp that one day maybe my FIL pots plant will break. Sigh..cannot “tahan” the noise. I always have this plan to put sleeping pill into sausages then feed that dog! :P The family will talk to the dog like human being conversation. But I can’t deny that LuLu is a clever dog. She can reach out for house keys to pass to her master.

There was one time, I was doing spring cleaning and put all rubbish at the front gate. Later in the afternoon I saw this neighbour laundry line have familiar clothes and caps hanging. Oh no! They search my rubbish! Sigh..next time I know, I will not throw away any clothes, I will just give it to them. :)

My right side of neighbour…

Consist of husband, wife and 3 kiddos. One thing crazy about this family is the WIFE. I can always hear the kids screaming for help. Mummy spanking them! She will spank her kids when they can’t do their homework properly or kids don’t behave. Now, I am not talking about normal spanking, her spanking is those abusive act. Spank with anger not spank with love. (u get what i mean?) Anyway, got one time there is a huge fight and argument between husband and wife about spanking their kids. Seriously LOUD fight. My MIL have to call their parents help. Sigh…how to handle this kind of neighbour? I can only show them a good example of a loving family.

Well, conclusion is, no matter how crazy my both neighbour can be, they are still my neighbour. When I bake cake or make agar-agar, I will give them some. With God’s help, I can treat them as my good neighbour.

Leviticus 19:18 (NIV)> Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.

wonderful morning

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

I thank God for a wonderful morning.

Today will be a busy day for me. Household errands that I need to settle as soon as possible. I need to clean the cupboard, wash clothes, sweep and mop the floor. Oh dear…I need maid William to be at home to help me but he will be much busier than me. Christmas production started, so he will need to be at church today at 9.30am for rehearsal. This year he served as a teacher but still helping out stage management. (I’m not able to join, need to take care of Angel)

Hope that next year, when Angel is one year old and no more breastfeeding, I can be back to serve as a stage manager for our church production. I really miss it.

no spinning & tossing

I like to see William playing with Angel. Angel is so energetic and having fun looking at her daddy’s tricks. She will scream with excitement and giggles all the way. Her new trick is to do a full turn and lie on her stomach, sometime she will stuck half way and scream for help. heehee so cute ;)

When playing with Angel, I often remind William to ensure we don’t toss and spin Angel. According to the expert, spinning or tossing up and catch them back can lead to severe brain damage.

November, Month of Thanksgiving

Saturday, November 24th, 2007

November is the month we celebrate Thanksgiving Day. Besides the big bird (turkey), pumpkin pie, and family time, it’s a time for us to thank God for His many blessings in our lives. It’s also a time to remember freedom comes through knowing Jesus Christ.

Our heavenly Father wants each of us to come to Him as a child and put our faith completely in Him to care for us. And you and I can be assured that everything God calls us to do, He will help us to accomplish. But we must come humbly as a little child with a heart that is sincere, simple, open, knowing that without Him, we can do nothing.

In my own life, I can’t just hope to be free. It is necessary for me to obey God’s Word and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. It means that I can’t just hear or read the Word to get results, but I also need to do what it says.

Are you enjoying freedom in your life?

I pray that God will encourage you to seek after the freedom that is yours in Jesus. Because He died on the cross to set us free from the power of sin, you and I can be free from every problem in life.

Since God didn’t create us to live in bondage of any kind, we can experience liberty—freedom to enjoy all that God has given us in Christ. He has given us life, and our goal should be to enjoy it! :)
