Kung Pao Chicken

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Nowadays I am lack of cooking idea.  Hubby also a bit fussy in his food, so now onwards I’ll have to be a bit creative and cook different dishes for him.  I’ve started cooking organic veges, so other dish hubby wants it abit strong in taste/flavor.

I found Rasa Malaysia website through HN’s blog. So I think I should starts looking at Chinese recipe and hubby can be my “white rat”. Heehee.

Here is my first truly Chinese dish and first time cooking it.
Kung Pao Chicken.

It is kind of a last minute cooking, so a few things I will have to skip.  But next time I will add extra ingredient like cashew nuts.  Yummy!

A Grand Wedding is Coming Soon

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

One of my very close cousin brother is getting married.  The wedding will be held in Johor Bahru in the month of July.  Right now we are busy looking for the right hotel to stay.  I think everyone know that Johor Bahru city is a traffic jam city, so we would not want to stay too far away from the wedding venue.

My cousin suggested Ponderosa Golf and Country Club, they do have accommodation for non-member.  Most probably all the relatives will be staying there because the golf club offered a good rate for more than 5 rooms.  I just hope the place is clean, no bed bugs and hospitality.  I am very fussy comes to hotel room especially travelling with Naomi.  We don’t want any bed bugs bite her, right?

Oh well, it is going to be a big fiesta Chinese wedding.  There is going to be plenty of food, drinks, games and sleepless night due to the party.  But I am going to skip the alcohol drinks and the night party.  As for the food, how can I resist food…I love to eat!  I will be very sorry to one of my skinny cousin, she always think that she is fat and eat very little.  Hope that his grand wedding day, she can control on her food, if not she might pop a few diet pill to stay slim. Sigh…seriously; I don’t see which part of her is fat.

Anyway, I am excited to visit JB again coz it has been a long time.

Sunday Jumbo Sales at Tabernacle of David

Monday, April 27th, 2009

Last Sunday we went to a friend’s church for Sunday service and then help out at their Jumbo sales bazaar.  The bazaar was held at Tabernacle of David church (Setapak) to raise fund for The Agape Home (for the blind) and Bethany Home (old folks).  We are there because hubby is helping out his good friend Jestine to set up Remote Control helicopter stall.

Church service starts at 10.15am and the bazaar starts at 2pm until 6pm.  After the church service, the chairs in the sanctuary were cleared to make way for the bazaar.

We were having so much fun there.  Hubby bought RM150.00 coupon and I use up everything!  I bought plenty of food (chicken chop, beef rendang, pastries, low shu fan, 2 coney dog) and some stuff for Naomi and myself.  We made 2 photo buttons at the bazaar too and a shoulder massage for me!

Naomi going for SIGG

Saturday, April 25th, 2009

I am a SIGG bottle fan.  I’ve collected 6 SIGG bottles when I was working in UK.  Buying SIGG bottle there is cheap compare to here.  I am still using SIGG bottle when ever I am out.  Yes, I drink a lot of water like water buffalo.

Naomi is always pestering me letting her drink from my bottle.  So after a while of thinking, hubby and I decided to buy her one SIGG bottle.

tada….this is the one for her…

Yeah, a bit of serious and adventure look kind of bottle.  They do have a wide range of cartoon SIGG bottles but is much more expensive.  So we chose the above one that only cost RM89.00
