We almost call the fire brigade for help

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

This morning we suppose to go to IKEA for lunch and do some window shopping but because Naomi is so disobedient and refuse to sit in her car seat, I’ll have to cancel the trip to IKEA.  After giving her a few spanking, I put her in the room and lock her from outside. Yeah, I know I am cruel…I only plan to lock her in for a while until I’m able to prepare her food.  If not she will only want to cling on me!

Anyway, when I was about to enter the bedroom with her lunch, I realised the door is lock!  IT IS LOCK FROM INSIDE.  She still crying and screaming about not going out and now she realised she could not open the door, the whole situation worse.  Normally she can lock and unlock the room but she was to panic to do so.

I tried many times to talk to her and instruct her to climb on her chair to unlock the door for me.  She did climb on the chair but not manage to unlock the door.  She is so scared and cries.  By then I was a little panic and quickly call hubby to rush home.

Thank God, FIL was at home and with some neighbour’s help of tools, FIL managed to break the door and rescue Naomi.  When we enter, Naomi was screaming for mummy and daddy.

Sigh…earlier she was so super naughty and I refuse to hug her, after seeing her being so scared, I hug her so tight and do not want to let go. *sob sob*

After this incident, we are going to move the inner lock higher so that Naomi will not able reach it.

Naomi 1st Zoo Trip

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Last Saturday/25th July 2009, we went to the Zoo.  The Zoo trip is part of Naomi’s birthday present from us.  Anyway, we woke up late and arrived National Zoo (Zoo Negara) at about 11am.  Hubby and Naomi went to the ticket counter to buy 2 tickets (RM15 x 2 adults).  It is a free entry for Naomi because she is below 3 years old.

We missed the Animal Show because we were late, the show starts at 11am!  But then, I don’t think Naomi will sit down and watch because she is the kind that likes to explore.

She like most is the lion, tiger, elephant, zebra, giraffe and the monkey because we spend most of the time there. :)

It is a very hot and dry day, so she is very busy with the umbrella.  The small animal umbrella we bought it at the Zoo.

At the end of the Zoo trip, both hubby and I are so tired.  Naomi is exhausted and when we enter the car then breast fed and she doze off straight away.

Empty Boxes is Useful

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

In our Kuala Lumpur home, we have a little attic to store things.  Since we got married, we bought a lot of bulky things and we decided to keep the boxes for future use like shifting house.  This morning mother-in-law told me that the boxes can be a nest for the termites and ask me to get rid of all the empty boxes.

It is true that termite can build their nest in empty boxes? If it is true, I will have to throw the empty boxes into the recycle bin fast!  :(

When next time when we need to shift or migrate, we will just need to use the shipping boxes service for the entire packing and shifting job.

10 Things That The Grandparents Will Do…

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009
  1. Feed the grandchild sweets and chocolates.
  2. Letting the grandchild taste soda drinks.
  3. Riding on the motobike with the grandchild with no helmet on.
  4. Letting the grandchild play with shoes.
  5. Like to say “NO” to the grandchild but still letting them do it.  A grandparents “NO” is always YES.
  6. Let the grandchild eat whatever they are eating.
  7. When the grandchild cries, grandparents will give them what ever they want.
  8. Grandparents’ heart can never be hard with their grandchild.
  9. Grandparents will never be strict towards their grandchild.
  10. Grandparents are the “culprit” that spoils the grandchild.

I think the list goes on and on and on.  Do you have any to add on?

The Adventures Moment!

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

So far everyone that knows me say that I have put on EXTRA weight.  I am totally agree with that.  Before married my weight is 54kg and now I am 65kg!  Hubby said that I look like Gloria the hippo in Madagascar.

As you can see below, it is one of the projects during my active time with Raleigh International.  The project was at the Wetlands in Kuala Gula (Perak), which I took park to build a bird watching platform.

Learning to steer the fisherman's boat.

Learning to steer the fisherman's boat.

I did not take any weight losss supplements to be that size. Most of the Raleigh activities are adventures so I burn a lot of fat and only building muscles during that time.  I do miss all the adventures fun and I am waiting for Naomi to grow up a little, maybe her 3rd year birthday we will go for a camp out in the jungle.
