Car Breakdown Services

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

I have been driving for almost 7 years now but I am yet to sign up for a car breakdown insurance services.  I think it is time to discuss with hubby for an extended service plan insurance for our car. It will be easier in case our car breakdown when we are travelling.

This reminds me of an incident during my 6 months pregnancy. I was driving home after work like usual and suddenly the car is so warm and I realised the meter is at the Hot zone! At that time I am not panic, thank God for that and then I drove slowly to reach a safety place to stop my car. I went down and open up the car front and then call hubby.

I think if we have sign up for the car breakdown services earlier, I can call the mechanic directly to tow my car and hubby doesn’t have to come all the way from home to rescue me.

My Dad, My Superhero

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

My dad is a superhero to me.  When I was just a little girl, where ever I go I will hold on to his hand.  But during those days, dad is seldom at home.  He works everyday, day and night to provide for me and my siblings.  Dad never be at the hospital when mom give birth because at that time he is a newspaper van driver and needs to travel to many places to make sure the newspaper is delivered on time.

Dad works very hard so that we can live a better life.

Now looking at his winkles on his face, I know how hard it is being a father and all his hard work, sweat and sacrifices is for us (me, mom and my 2 younger brothers).

Dad is old now.  He can’t work like he used to due to his health.  His body is weak and he is getting thinner.  Although he is not strong like he used to, but he is still my superhero.  :)

I pray that God will continue to work in dad’s life and I pray one day dad will come to know the Lord and accept Jesus as his Lord.

I’ve learn something from dad which is LOVE.  No matter we are poor or rich, as long as the family stays together, we will survive.

Strict Employment Screening

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

After reading the services provided, I realised that there are so many things can be done for the pre-employment screening, not only for health screening, but also checking for individual criminal background and drug testing.

I found it very interesting and thinking about our Malaysia public transport. I think Malaysian transportation companies should start using such services for their employment process. Since there are too many cases of criminal bus driver, with such strict process they can have lower risk of employing the wrong person and we can have a better and safer public transport.

Agree?

Loh Sang is Messy

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

I don’t know why, previous years I really dislike the taste and texture of loh sang dish (means the act of tossing salad) but this year I enjoyed every bits of pieces of it.  This loh sang dish contains stripes of red n white carrots, stripes of ginger, stripes of jelly fish, slices of salmon fish and a few kind of crackers.  It serves with plum, honey sauce, oil, five spice powder and pepper.

When doing loh sang, we will surely mess up the dinner table; well I think it is the purpose of it, right? Haha!  Anyway, this is the one and only loh sang I did this year, how about you?

The tradition of having loh sang during Chinese New Year is fun although it is messy.
